iPhone SE 4: Case design leak reveals iPhone 7 Plus looks months before official release
Apple is not expected to unveil another iPhone SE for a while yet. According to recent rumours, the current 3rd Gen (curr. $151 - renewed on Amazon) model will still be sold throughout the rest of this year and into 2025. Nonetheless, tidbits about the so-called iPhone SE 4 continue to surface online through a variety of sources.
This time, Sonny Dickson has re-shared an image of a third-party case design, which we have embedded above and below. Presumably taken from Chinese social media, the image does not show the iPhone SE 4 itself. Instead, it highlights a few features of the device before its official launch, including its flat back panel and what appears to be a cut-out for a mute switch rather than an Action Button.
Moreover, the case has a conspicuously large aperture for the iPhone's rear-facing cameras. Given the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be about as large as an iPhone 14, it would appear that this cut-out is for two rear-facing cameras, not one as has been the case with all previous iPhone SE models. Added to that, the camera cut-out is horizontally orientated like the one found on the iPhone 7 Plus, which would go against Apple's recent design language.
