@OnLeaks, a name synonymous with smartphone renders, has partnered with iGeeksBlog to deliver a first look at this year's iPad Pro series. Apple is expected to release two models, with both the iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 making a return. It has been over a year since the company graced the world with new iPad Pros, but the design of this year's models largely resemble their predecessors, with the iPad Pro 11 2020 having an identical footprint to that of the 2018 model.
It is worth noting that @OnLeaks has not confirmed whether the upcoming tablets will have aluminium or glass backs. iGeeksBlog has rendered the iPad Pro 11 2020 with an aluminium back and the iPad Pro 12.9 2020 with a glass one, but there appears to be nothing to suggest that Apple will use glass on this year's iPad Pros.
The rear-facing camera housing is the only confirmed external change, which has seemingly been borrowed directly from the iPhone 11 Pro series. Apple equipped its last iPad Pros with a single 12 MP camera sensor from the iPhone 7, so it does not necessarily follow that year's models will feature the company's most recent camera hardware. Neither iGeeksBlog nor @OnLeaks have mentioned any front-facing camera upgrades, either.
As we posited last year, iGeeksBlog expects that the A13X Bionic will power both new models, just as the A12X Bionic made its way into the last iPad Pros. Apple will apparently launch the new iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 in March.
