iFi Audio has unveiled the Go Link, a miniature DAC that promises to reproduce high-quality audio for those operating on a budget. The iFi Audio is available for £59 and relies on the ESS Technology ES9219MQ DAC.

iFi Audio has announced the iFi Go Link, a compact Hi-Fi DAC. While the company's marketing images show the iFi Go Link with a USB Type-C port, it includes a Lightning connector in the box. As such, the DAC should be compatible with Android devices, iPhones, PCs and Macs.

At the heart of the iFi Go Link is the ES9219MQ DAC produced by ESS Technology. According to iFi Audio, the DAC can process 32-bit audio at 384 kHz, as well as MQA files and DSD files at 11.2 MHz (DSD256). Hence, the iFi Go Link should be compatible with high-quality audio streaming services like Tidal. It is worth noting that adjusting the volume level on a connected device controls the iFi Go Link's volume rather than the latter relying on software-based volume controls.

As a result, you should not experience audio resolution loss as with cheaper DACs. Additionally, iFi Audio has built the iFi Go Link with a flexible USB cable to minimise any stress that a harder cable would put on a connected device's USB Type-C port. Currently, the iFi Go Link costs £59 when ordered from one of iFi Audio's approved suppliers. Please see the company's website for more details about the DAC and from where you can purchase it.
