Zelda meets Avatar: New RPG finally has a release date – later this month

If you were to combine classic Zelda-style vibes with the core idea behind the popular American animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender and package it as a top-down RPG, the result would likely look a lot like Elementallis. The game was first announced back in 2021 and has now finally been given a release date: April 28, 2026.
In terms of story, Elementallis centers on a world on the brink of collapse due to an imbalance of the elements – and the main character appears to share part of the blame. At its core, the game draws heavily from Zelda classics such as A Link to the Past. Players control their character from a top-down perspective and explore an interconnected world full of temples, puzzles and secrets. Eight large dungeons form the backbone of the adventure, complete with boss battles. The key twist comes from the elemental system. Instead of relying on conventional weapons, Elementallis uses powers such as fire, water and electricity. Players can, for example, use a water shield to hold enemies at bay before following up with an electric attack.
Elementallis is the debut project from developer Top Hat Studios. Publisher AnKae Games has already released more than 20 indie titles on Steam and may be familiar to some players. The RPG is planned not only for PC via Steam, but also for Switch, PlayStation and Xbox. Compatibility with gaming handhelds has not yet been officially confirmed, but given the modest system requirements, Elementallis could be an interesting option for devices such as the Steam Deck. Interestingly, the Nintendo eShop is already listing a price of $17.99. Other storefronts have not yet shown a price, but it is reasonable to assume the game will cost something similar there as well.
