Zotac offers an exciting array of mini and SFF PCs, most commonly with the ZBox branding. The latest in the lineup to go on sale happens to be the ZBox Magnus One compact gaming PC, boasting desktop-class gaming hardware in a condensed 8.4 liter chassis. However, the SFF PC is only available in China for the time being.
The ZBox Magnus One is powered by the 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265 CPU with 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores. Compared to the unlocked Core Ultra 7 265K chip, the 265 boasts a significantly lower TDP (65W vs 125W), which allows the Ultra 7 265 to function well inside thermally constrained systems at the cost of overall performance. However, the vanilla Ultra 7 265 is no slouch, and should easily be able to handle almost any demanding workload sent its way.
The Magnus One packs the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti gaming GPU
Gamers will be pleased to note that the ZBox Magnus One also packs the full-fat Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti gaming GPU with 16 GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Compared to its predecessor, the 5070 Ti is roughly 20% faster. When compared to the vanilla RTX 5070, the RTX 5070 Ti is around 18% faster. Of course, real-world performance of the system will heavily depend on how well Zotac has managed the thermals, which can only be determined through independent reviews.
Memory and storage requirements are taken care of by dual DDR5 memory slots and dual M.2 2280 slots (Crucial T710 1TB curr. $185 on Amazon) respectively. Moreover, room for a 2.5-inch drive is also present. A plethora of ports are on offer, which have been detailed below:
- Triple USB 3.0 Type-A, single USB 3.0 Type-C
- Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- HDMI 2.1, triple DisplayPort 2.1b
- Thunderbolt 4 Type-C
- SD card slot (UHS-II)
- 2.5G Ethernet, 1G Ethernet
- 3.5 mm audio jack
The ZBox Magnus One SFF gaming PC is already available on JD.com for 20,999 Yuan, or roughly $3,000, for the variant without any memory or storage. The 16 GB memory and 1 TB SSD variant, on the other hand, costs $3,181. Zotac does like to bring its offerings outside of China, although an exact date is not in sight for now.
