Xiaomi is set to hold a major launch event in China on May 22, 2025, where the company will fully detail its new in-house SoC, the Xring O1. This self-developed chip will be inside two new products: the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra, and the company has now shared more details about the flagship tablet.
Besides the Xring O1, the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is now confirmed to sport a 14-inch OLED screen. As the newly shared images of the tablet show, this display will feature narrow bezels. These new pictures also highlight a wide notch at the top, which is believed to house 3D face recognition technology alongside the selfie camera.
Another key detail that the company has shared is that the Pad 7 Ultra will pack a large 12,000 mAh battery. To compare, the last-gen Pad 6S Pro features a 10,000 mAh battery, but the upcoming tablet will retain the 120 W fast charging support (140 W Anker 737 power bank curr. $109.99 on Amazon).
Despite featuring a larger battery, the Pad 7 Ultra is confirmed to be thinner than the Pad 6S Pro. To be specific, while the last-gen tablet measures 6.3 mm thick, the upcoming model is confirmed to be only 5.1 mm thick. Xiaomi also shares that it will weigh 609 grams, which isn't really an improvement over the 6S Pro.
Other than that, Xiaomi has showcased the tablet in two colors: silver and black. It's not clear whether more color options will be available at launch, but the teasers did confirm that there will be accessory support, including a stylus pen and keyboard cover.
