Xiaomi is preparing to launch its most ambitious in-house SoC, the Xring O1. It will be powering two upcoming devices, the Xiaomi 15S Pro and Pad 7 Ultra. While recent Geekbench listings have already given a hint at how well it may compete against the Snapdragon 8 Elite, an early review of the flagship phone has now shared an AnTuTu benchmark comparison between the two.
This review video comes from a Chinese creator 阿文鉴机, and while it has been circulating in Chinese social media, the clip appears to be missing from the reviewer's accounts. That suggests the hands-on video may have been mistakenly uploaded earlier than it should've been and later got deleted by the reviewer.
Nonetheless, the early hands-on review video shows that the Xring O1 inside the 15S Pro can edge out the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered Xiaomi 15 Pro on AnTuTu. To be specific, the former was shown to achieve a total score of 2,535,163, while the latter got 2,515,259 points in the comparison.
It's worth noting that the Xiaomi 15 Pro isn't the top-scoring Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phone on AnTuTu. The soon-to-be-unveiled RedMagic 10S Pro+, for example, can achieve over 3.15 million points on the benchmark. Moreover, the Xring O1 doesn't have a massive lead over the Qualcomm flagship SoC in that specific comparison.
But then again, it's quite impressive to see the in-house Xiaomi SoC achieve a comparable benchmark score as the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Of course, it's yet to be seen how well the Xring O1 compares to Qualcomm's flagship SoC when it comes to efficiency and thermals.
