The Xiaomi Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000mAh has started to roll out in a couple of countries. The accessory appeared on the brand's global website in November. Now, the product has been listed at the Xiaomi online store in Hong Kong. Plus, it will shortly begin crowdfunding in India.
The Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000mAh weighs just 93g (~3.3 oz), is 10mm (~0.4 inches) thick and has a metallic finish. There is a single USB-C port with a 20W maximum output, which Xiaomi suggests would charge a Xiaomi 14 Ultra to 37% in half an hour. The power bank recharges via an 18W USB-C input, with a full charge taking around 1.75 hours. Plus, it provides protection against issues like overheating and short circuits.
Xiaomi will launch the Ultra Slim Power Bank 5000mAh in Hong Kong for HK$149 (~$19) on December 12th. A crowdfunding campaign for the accessory will begin on December 13th in India, with backers asked to pledge ₹1,499 (~$18). Here, the product is expected to ship from January 20th. It is unclear whether or when the power bank could launch in other markets like the US, where it would compete with models like the Anker 621 Magnetic Battery (MagGo), currently $29.74 at Amazon.
