Xiaomi launching Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds globally

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will be launching a new pair of TWS earbuds globally. Specifically, the company has added the Redmi Buds 8 Pro to its global website as replacements for the older Redmi Buds 6 Pro (curr. $71.99 on Amazon). By contrast, the rumoured Redmi Buds 8 Active are nowhere to be seen.
The Redmi Buds 8 Pro will be available globally in Cloud White, Glacier Blue and Obsidian Black colours, all with 54 mAh batteries and 480 mAh batteries inside their matching charging cases. Bosating up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, Xiaomi also installs a Bluetooth 5.4-capable modem and three microphones per earbud that help deliver up to 55 dB in active noise cancellation (ANC).
Also, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro is Hi-Res Wireless Audio certified and supports the LDAC codec. Not only that, but Xiaomi's new earbuds are Google Fast Pair compatible and boast multipoint connectivity. The Redmi Buds 8 Pro boast IP54 dust and water resistance, too.
For the time being, Xiaomi has not confirmed pricing. Likewise, its global website does not offer any indications about availability. However, the bottom of the company's events page clarifies that the Redmi Buds 8 Pro will be one of the products showcased during its February 28 event. Thus, we suspect that sales will either begin on February 28 or in early March.
