Xiaomi launches new flagship smartphone with Leica-tuned cameras and Dimensity 9500 chipset

Xiaomi has updated its T-series portfolio by launching all-new Xiaomi 17T-series smartphones in Europe. The 17T series consists of two smartphones, the Xiaomi 17T and the Xiaomi 17T Pro. We already covered the vanilla variant separately and you can read about it here. Speaking of the Pro variant, the smartphone brings some noticeable upgrades in terms of battery, camera, processor, and design.
Xiaomi has once again refreshed the 17T Pro’s camera island design. This time around, the brand has removed the chamfered edges instead and added more of a squarish design. We already talked about its design briefly in our feature piece and you can read about it here. Xiaomi has now incorporated a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50 MP OIS-enabled Light Fusion 950 sensor found in the Xiaomi 17. The main unit is joined by a 50 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and a 12 MP ultra-wide shooter. Up front, it has a 32 MP snapper for selfies and video chats.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. This is the same found in the latest Vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 series smartphones. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17T Pro has a 27% larger battery than its predecessor. It boasts a large 7,000 mAh battery with 100 W wired, 50 W wireless, and 22.5 W reverse-wired charging support.
The Xiaomi 17T Pro is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, which delivers a 2772 x 1280 pixel resolution, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Plus, there’s Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection on top, protecting the phone against accidental falls and scratches. Xiaomi promises five major Android updates (Android 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22) and six years of Android security patches until 2032.
Available in deep blue, deep violet, and black colorways, the Xiaomi 17T Pro starts at €899.90 for the base 12 GB + 256 GB variant, while the 12 GB + 512 GB and 12 GB + 1 TB variants are priced at €999.90 and €1,099.99, respectively. As a part of launch offers, the company is offering a 3-month trial subscription to Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium and a 4-month trial subscription to Spotify Premium in selected markets. Alongside, Xiaomi has also launched the Watch S5 46 mm, the Smart Band 10 Pro, Buds 6, and Xiaomi Sound Play.
