Xiaomi announces the launch date of its next POCO C series smartphone

Last October, Xiaomi launched the POCO C3, its cheapest smartphone to date. The POCO C3 arrived for just INR 8,999 (~US$125) with a 6.53-inch 720p display, a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC and up to 4 GB of RAM. Xiaomi also included up to 64 GB of storage and four rear-facing cameras.

Now, POCO India has started teasing its next POCO C series smartphone with the tagline 'C U Soon'. So far, neither POCO India nor Xiaomi have revealed anything about the next POCO C, presumably the POCO C4. However, the POCO C3 is basically the Redmi 9C by another name, also sold as the Redmi 9 in India. Hence, it seems likely that POCO will re-badge another Redmi smartphone, such as the Redmi 10.

We do not have long to wait until the POCO C4 arrives, either. According to POCO India's teaser, it will reveal the next POCO C series smartphone on September 30 at 12:00 IST (UTC 18:30). We imagine that POCO India will continue to tease the device in the meantime, too.
