Updated | Xiaomi Redmi K30i first promo image appears: Looks exactly how you would expect a Redmi K30 Lite to look like
Update April 24: Xiaomishka has commented in an article (in Russian) about potentially fake Xiaomi-related leaks that the supposed Redmi K30i promo image is actually a fan-made render.
Original story:
A supposed promo image of the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi K30i, which has also been called the Redmi K30 Lite in some sources, has been shared online. Considering the smartphone is rumored to be getting a price tag of just 1,799 yuan (US$254), it has a pleasant-looking overall design that shows clearly it is the “lite” variant of the Redmi K30 5G but without too many physical corners being cut.
The image of the Redmi K30i shows a variant colored in deep black, which gives it a sharp and clean-looking appearance. The rear is adorned with a triple-camera setup and an LED flash, which are located in the now familiar circular housing. The writing states “48 MP AI triple camera” on the left and “design by Redmi” on the right. The more-expensive Redmi K30 5G has a 64 MP primary sensor.
As for the front, the Redmi K30i features a punch-hole in the top right-hand corner for the selfie camera. The full-specced Redmi K30 5G has a larger hole on the front as it has two sensors occupying the space (20 MP + 2 MP). It makes sense for Xiaomi to completely utilize the same design language with this Redmi K30i variant due to the positive reception that has greeted the non-lite models in the range.
