Reviews for the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra
The 14-inch Pad 7 Ultra is a superlative tablet, stealing the show from the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. With its optional matte finish, the outstanding OLED panel offers the perfect conditions for stylus-based mobile use. But can the new XRing O1 keep up with the Snapdragon 8 Elite?

The Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra is Xiaomi's highest-tier tablet, and it's unique because it is powered by Xiaomi's own custom-built silicon, the XRing O1. The tablet also features a 14-inch OLED screen, and a large 12,000 mAh battery. In this video I showed off the hardware, software, and also did a video editing test. In fact, this entire video was edited on the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra using LumaFusion for Android.

Experiencing the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra leaves a powerful impression—not just as a fully loaded flagship Pad, but as a milestone that embodies a decade of Xiaomi’s technological evolution. The debut of the Xuanjie O1 chip sets a new benchmark for domestic SoCs. While it may not yet represent a fully self-developed IP, it marks a significant leap from concept to execution. It showcases Xiaomi’s strong capabilities in chip design and integration, and its ability to master cutting-edge manufacturing processes, closing the gap with international giants that have led the field for decades. For Xiaomi and the broader Chinese tech industry, the Xuanjie O1 isn’t an endpoint—it’s a fresh beginning. It stands as a symbol of China’s accelerating chip innovation, leveraging global foundations to reach new heights.
