The Xbox June Update brings forth several improvements to PC, Xbox Series S|X consoles and Xbox Cloud Gaming. It also includes firmware updates for the Xbox Adaptive and Xbox Elite wireless controllers.

Even though many considered the recent Xbox games showcase to be one of the best in recent, it didn't have much to show off in the way of new hardware. Meanwhile, Microsoft has rolled out the Xbox June update and it brings forth some quality-of-life improvements to platforms including PC, Xbox Series S and Series X (curr. $449 on Amazon) consoles, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. For starters, you can now freely alternate between a Dynamic Background and Game Art without manually changing it every time.

Furthermore, it also lets you save the credentials of up to 10 Wi-Fi networks on your console and switch between them without entering the password every time. While this is not particularly useful for stationary consoles that often connect to just one SSID, it could come in handy for a portable device- something Xbox plans to unveil in the near future.

With an internet connection becoming mandatory for most modern-day games, the ability to seamlessly switch from your home Wi-Fi connection to a mobile hotspot in the case of an outage comes as a welcome addition. Finally, you can also manage your subscriptions (Game Pass, EA Play, Ubisoft Plus, etc) more easily.

Next up, the Xbox app on PC also gets a makeover. If you're an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate/PC Game Pass subscriber, you can now filter between all available games, Xbox Game Studios titles, and offerings from Riot Games/EA Pass from the home screen. This should help you navigate the Xbox's ever-growing library with ease.

Lastly, Microsoft has also added keyboard and mouse support for all titles played on Xbox Cloud Gaming. For now, these are only limited to Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome and might not be available for all games. You also have better control over cloud saves. The Xbox Adaptive controller can now be connected with more add-ons. Microsoft has also included some bugfixes for the Xbox Elite controller. The above changes are live now and should be available for download immediately.
