Microsoft has started referring to the Xbox Series S in promotional materials. A reference to the unannounced console has been spotted on packaging for an Xbox Series X controller, but this time it has been seen on an Xbox Game Pass voucher. According to @BraviaryBrendan, the voucher came bundled with an Xbox One Controller that they purchased directly from Microsoft.
Oddly, this is the first time that we have seen this appear online, despite the thousands of Xbox One controller that Microsoft and retailers probably sell daily. Nonetheless, its inclusion suggests that Microsoft should be close to announcing the Xbox Series S seeing as it has already printed promotional materials containing references to it.
There have been hardly any concrete leaks about the Xbox Series S itself, though. Microsoft is expected to price the console at US$299/€299, which will apparently be US$200/€200 less than the company will charge for the Series X. Unsurprisingly, a saving that large will coincide with significantly reduced performance. According to another leak, the Xbox Series S will offer 3x less GPU power than the Series X. The former will also supposedly have 10 GB of GDDR6 RAM, 6 GB less than the Series X.
