Xiaomi released its first in-house chipset, XRing O1, to much critical acclaim. The chipset has only been used on three devices—the Xiaomi Pad 7s Pro, Pad 7 Ultra, and 15S Pro—but Xiaomi already has its successor in the works.
As shared by leaker Fixed Focus Digital, Xiaomi's XRing O2 is currently planned to launch next year. To be exact, in September next year. Considering previous launch dates of flagship chipsets from Apple, MediaTek, and Qualcomm, it looks rather likely that XRing O2 will debut within weeks of the A20, Dimensity 9600, and Snapdragon 8 Elite 3.
There's not much currently known about XRing O2. The chipset is expected to be built on a 3 nm manufacturing process, which may be a tad problematic considering the chipsets from Apple, MediaTek, and Qualcomm are expected to make the jump to a 2 nm node next year. Either way, XRing O2 will likely be as competitive as its predecessor, and fans will be hoping it sees wider adoption than XRing O1 has managed so far.
