The LG V35 ThinQ is the forgotten step-son of LG's recent flagships. An Android 10 update roadmap that surfaced last week completely omitted the V35, and that may have alarmed owners of the phone. We bring glad tidings, however.

A few days ago, a roadmap detailing LG's plans for its Android 10 release surfaced. The LG V35 ThinQ was missing on it. Owners of the phone may have felt left out, and confused as to whether their devices would end up getting the update. A new roadmap that will likely excite V35 owners has been revealed, however.

Going by the new update roadmap, the V35 ThinQ will receive the Android 10 update in Q2 2020, alongside the V40 ThinQ, G7 ThinQ, and V50S ThinQ. LG V30 owners have nothing to look forward to, as they've already received the two major updates they're entitled to—Android Oreo and Android Pie.

The LG V35 was released back in mid-2018 as something of a mid-cycle fusion of the G7 ThinQ and V30 ThinQ. It's powered by the same SoC as the G7 and features the same camera hardware, while sporting the same chassis as the V30 ThinQ. That, coupled with the fact that it was an AT&T exclusive at launch in the US, may have left some owners conflicted as to their chances of receiving the update.

So, will the LG V35 ThinQ get the Android 10 update? Almost definitely. While the roadmap says the V35 ThinQ will receive the update in Q2, it's important to note that it's for the Korean market. We wouldn't expect it—or the G7 ThinQ and V40 ThinQ—to get Android 10 until late Q3 at the earliest. Worst case scenario may see those phones left hanging until next year; you never quite know what you'll get with LG. Better late than never; Life is Good.
