WhatsApp is working on improving the user support experience with the new ‘Chat with us’ feature. This new feature is currently being tested and was spotted in the beta version of WhatsApp Web.
Last year, WhatsApp tested AI-powered chat support, which was later made accessible to all users. Now, the popular messaging app is aiming to improve the user support experience with the latest ‘Chat with us’ feature, which will be directly accessible through the web client.
Currently, users have to go through various steps involving going over frequently asked questions section to access chat support. With the new option, it will be quicker and easier for users to contact the support team.
The report from WABetaInfo reveals that the new option has been added to the Help section of the app. Upon interacting with this option, users will get a message from the support team in a WhatsApp chat.
For basic queries, the support team may rely on AI-generated answers. However, users can request a response from a human representative if required. The option for obtaining help from a human agent can be beneficial in times when the AI-generated answers fail to satisfy the user’s query.
This feature is currently available in the beta version of the web client. It may take time before the new option rolls out for all users.
