Warframe developer, Digital Extremes, appears to be on a roll in 2024. Hot on the heels of the recent cross-platform save announcement, it has been confirmed that the free-to-play, third-person MMO is on track for a February 20 launch on iOS.
Warframe has been available for pre-order on the Apple App Store, but Digital Extremes CEO Steve Sinclair and Warframe Creative Director Rebecca Ford recently confirmed during a YouTube livestream that the iOS launch is on track for February 20. Sinclair mentioned that the development team is still ironing out the last bugs and thoroughly testing the game ahead of launch.
When Digital Extremes announced the roll-out of cross-platform save at the end of January 2024, it was confirmed that the mobile versions of the game would launch with cross-platform save right out the gate.
According to the App Store page, Warframe will require at least iOS 14 or iPadOS 14 and an A12 Bionic SoC, meaning even owners of devices as old as the iPhone X and 8th-generation iPad will be able to join in on the gun-toting, blade-twirling space adventures.
After the launch on iOS, Warframe will be available on everything from the Apple iPhone 15, Xbox Series X, and Sony PlayStation 5 to the Nintendo Switch (curr. $289.99 on Amazon) and Windows gaming devices, like the Lenovo Legion Go (curr. $699.99 from Lenovo US).
