The Vivo S50 series is expected to be officially introduced in December, and Vivo manager Han Boxiao has already shared a first image and some details about the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. The compact smartphone sports a design similar to the Apple iPhone Air, including a flat metal frame and a pill-shaped camera module that houses three rear cameras.
According to Vivo, the smartphone features an ultra light sensitive main camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera based on the Sony IMX882 1/1.95-inch sensor. Vivo has not yet commented on the ultrawide angle camera, but the selfie camera will utilize a high resolution 50MP sensor. Meanwhile, the AMOLED display measures 6.31 inches, and the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is invisibly put under the display. The compact chassis is IP68 and IP69 certified and is water-resistant.
Despite its relatively small size, Vivo opted for a 6,500mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C at up to 90 watts or wirelessly at 40 watts. With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 paired with quick LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 flash storage, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini is expected to offer almost flagship performance. Vivo mentions more than 3 million points on AnTuTu. Vivo has not yet confirmed when or at what price the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will hit the market, although the Chinese debut is expected to happen in December.
