Vivid green Arri camera flagship with up to a 500mm telephoto and the largest battery in its class has an official launch date
Bright colors are popular: While the Vivo X500 Pro Max will be launched in an intense orange color, Honor lets you opt for a highly vivid green if you prefer. At least, that is what the first official teaser posters, press images, and teaser videos for the Magic 9 Pro Max show us, many of which can be found today, September 9, on the manufacturer's Chinese Weibo profile.
Arri telephoto extender with up to 17x zoom
The vivid green camera monster can also be spotted in Venice, where Honor is busy promoting the Arri camera flagship at the film festival ahead of its September 28 launch in China. In Honor's home market, customers can already reserve the Honor Magic9 series. However, it is not yet known when the successors to the Magic 8 generation will officially arrive in other markets like India or Europe.
8,800 mAh battery and Arri technology
Not too many details about the cameras are known yet either. What is certain, however, is that there will be two teleconverters: a 200 mm extender weighing just 88 grams and a significantly larger 500 mm model that even surpasses the 400 mm telephoto lens of the Vivo X500 Pro Max. These will enable 17x optical zoom, presumably based on a 70 mm 3x telephoto camera with a 200-megapixel sensor. Honor is also expected to use a 200-megapixel sensor for the main camera, but not for the ultra-wide-angle camera—unlike the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, which has already been confirmed with three 200-megapixel sensors. According to Digital Chat Station, the Magic9 Pro Max houses an 8,800 mAh battery, making it the largest battery in its class in a current high-end smartphone.
