The refreshed SX14 lineup now integrates Comet Lake-U CPUs up to the i7-10710U hexa-core coupled to 8 or 16 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. No discrete GPUs here, but the more expensive variants come with a 4K display option and up to 1 TB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

Vaio’s SX14 lineup just got refreshed with Intel’s Comet Lake-U CPUs. The new upgrades range from the i5-10210U quad-core CPU all the way up to the i7-10710U hexa-core model and also come with redesigned cooling solutions plus a Vaio TruePerformance option that improve speeds by up to 40% compared to previous models.

As the denomination suggests, these laptops are equipped with 14-inch displays, but, due to the slim bezel design, the chassis footprint actually measures only 13.3 inches and weighs in at about 2.32 lbs.

Standard features for all the models include:

  • Integrated UHD Graphics GPU
  • GbE jack + WiFi + BLuetooth 4.1
  • Intel HD Audio with stereo mic support + headphone & mic jacks
  • 1x USB-C 3.1 (power/display), 1x USB-A 3.2, 2x USB-A 3.0 ports
  • HDMI out + VGA out
  • SD card reader
  • 2 MP webcam compatible with Windows Hello

The more affordable models come with 8 GB o LPDDR3, HD displays and 256 GB of PCIe SSD storage, while the top-of-the line laptops feature up to 16 GB of LPDDR3 and up to 1 TB PCIe SSD storage, plus a 4K display option. Color options include brown, silver, black and red.

All models are already available on the official Vaio site, with prices starting at US$1,199 for the i5-10210U models, whereas the i7-10710U variants go for US$2,299.
