The Avita Admiror stands out from the 14-inch notebook crowd with its Flaming Copper or Blazing Brown color options. These shades are applied to a magnesium-aluminium chassis (apparently inspired by "Gothic architecture") with an original C-fold feature that overlays the laptop's hidden hinge. It also functions to house USB type C ports on either side, the only I/O the device has on its own.
Luckily, it comes with its own matching dock, which confers USB type A, an additional type C and full-sized HDMI on the Admiror. The laptop itself is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 3700U (still a decent APU even though the 4000 series now abounds), 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD.
These internals are housed in a body of "just 9mm" in thickness and approximately 1.38kg in weight. It has an FHD IPS screen with a 16:9 aspect-ratio and 72% of the NTSC color gamut. Dual 1.5W "full range" speakers hide under a curved grille facing the user from between the hinges.
The Avita Admiror is priced at £749.99 (~US$956) with the UK retailer JD Williams at present, with availability at Currys and eBuyer planned to follow.
