ARC Raiders is a PvPvE extraction shooter developed by Embark Studios, the Stockholm-based team behind THE FINALS. Set in the ruins of a devastated Earth, the game drops players into the settlement of Speranza, where scavengers known as Raiders venture out to recover valuable resources while battling hostile players, and NPC machines known as ARC.
From October 17 to 19, Embark is holding a ‘Server Slam’ across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store. No keys or registration are required. The goal is to test backend stability, matchmaking, and balance ahead of the full release on October 30.
The test will feature the Dam Battlegrounds map, a mix of wetlands, derelict research facilities, and flooded industrial zones, and allow solo or squad-based play. Players can experiment with early and mid-tier weapons, armor, and gadgets, complete basic trader quests, and experience randomized weather events such as electromagnetic storms or night raids. High-end gear, deep crafting upgrades, and late-game systems like Projects and Trials will remain disabled during the test period.
Progress and unlocks from the Server Slam will not carry over to launch, but Embark Studios encourages players to join regardless. The event doubles as both a large-scale technical test and an open preview of the game’s tone and pacing, a blend of scavenging, tension, and sudden firefights that define the extraction-shooter genre.
With the Server Slam just days away, ARC Raiders offers a chance for newcomers to explore Speranza before the official release and for returning testers to help shape the final build. Those interested can find more info on the official site, or the game's Steam page.
