Ugreen launching new power bank featuring BYD battery

A new Ugreen portable power bank using a BYD battery will be released in the near future. This charging accessory will join the brand’s wide range of existing products, like the MagFlow Air Qi2 15W Ultra-Slim 5,000 mAh Power Bank (curr. $69.99 at Amazon), recently launched in the US.
The announcement of the charging accessory, as well as the wider partnership between Ugreen and BYD Battery, was made on the Chinese social media site Weibo. In the post, Ugreen noted that the new power bank would comply with the latest safety regulations in the country, for enhanced protection for the user. Announced in early April 2026, this national standard will come into effect from April 2027 in China. It aims to reduce accidents caused by overheating, overcharging and short circuits.
Further details about this upcoming Ugreen portable power bank, including its design and range of outputs, have yet to be revealed. However, the company suggested in its social media post that the product would be “launched shortly” (machine translated). It remains to be seen whether or when this charging accessory could be rolled out to other markets, following its anticipated launch in China.
