Deal | Two Timex Marlin moon phase and tachymeter-enabled chronographs get sizable Amazon discounts

Two Timex Marlins are discounted on Amazon at the moment, and one of them is a better deal than the other.
The Marlin Moon Phase Multifunction TW2Y09900, with a green dial on a steel bracelet, is now available on Amazon at $144.27. As per Keepa, the listing's 90-day average is $232.85, so the saving works out at roughly $88, or 38%. The watch has genuinely held its price near $239 all year rather than spiking there for a day. Amazon's own offer is still $239. The $144.27 comes from Watchsavings (a third-party seller with reliable history), so two prices $95 apart are sitting on the same listing.
The second deal covers the Marlin Chronograph Tachymeter TW2W99000. You get a blue dial with an orange and light blue stripe, and it is currently priced at $187 against a $219 list price. Its 90-day average is $205.76, so the actual discount, while lower, is still about $19. Amazon also labels it as "lowest price in 30 days", which is accurate (and suitably modest). Keepa shows the $187 offer has been standing for a fortnight rather than showing up today.
Neither of these prices is a record though. The moon phase reached $100.38 in September 2024 (which is two years ago), and the chronograph $176.79 last November.
Both share the same Marlin formula: a 40 mm polished steel case, a domed acrylic crystal that scratches easily and polishes out, and 50 m water resistance. The moon phase is 12 mm thick and runs four subdials tracking day, date, month and lunar phase, advanced by a mono-pusher above the crown, on a bracelet with a fold-over clasp. The chronograph carries a tachymeter along the outer minute track, applied numerals at 3, 9 and 12, a date window at half past four, and a 24-hour register marked with checkered flags, on perforated leather with quick-release bars.
That stripe is doing a lot of design work in the second watch. Gear Patrol has called this reference the Timex Monaco Gulf. Timex has not confirmed that, but hasn't explicitly discouraged the same as well.
