Tuxedo is giving the Stellaris 16 a big upgrade. This is a laptop that clearly prioritizes performance over compact dimensions. Equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, customers can choose between a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, GeForce RTX 5080 or GeForce RTX 5090. The maximum TPG of the RTX 5090 is specified as 150 watts plus 25 watts of Dynamic Boost, while the processor can consume up to 130 watts.
There are two display options to choose from: a mini-LED panel with a maximum HDR brightness of 1,000 cd/m² or an LED screen with up to 500 cd/m². Both displays measure 16 inches diagonally, have an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600. There is no difference in the maximum refresh rate, which in both cases is specified as a maximum of 300 Hz. The mini-LED panel is said to provide 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, while the LED screen delivers 100% SRGB color space coverage.
A 99 Wh battery is installed and, depending on the model, a 330- or 420-watt power adapter is included. A battery life of up to 8.5 hours of web browsing is promised. The model can be charged via USB-C with up to 140 watts. The notebook weighs either 2.65 kilograms (LED) or 2.8 kilograms (mini-LED). Two M.2 2280 SSDs are available, one of which is PCI Express 5.0 and the other PCI Express 4.0. Up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM can be installed in two slots.
In terms of ports and connectivity options, the Stellaris 16 does not fall short in any way. On the left, you have 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet, USB-C 3.2 Gen2, USB-A 3.2 Gen1 and an audio jack. The right side has two USB-A 3.2 Gen1 ports and an SD card reader. On the back is a connector for the Tuxed Aquaris liquid cooling system, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a Mini DisplayPort 2.1 and a HDMI 2.1 port. Further details about the Stellaris 16 can be found on the official product page.
Please keep in mind that Tuxedo, much like Schenker or Eluktronics, does not design or produce its laptops, ordering them from established OEMs like Clevo and Tongfang instead.
