Total War: Rome Remastered is a strategy game where your mission is to conquer the city of Rome. But to do so, you’ll need to manage your empire’s resources, fight numerous enemies, and upgrade your cities and armies.

The Total War franchise has plunged players in many universes, including ancient Rome with Rome: Total War, released in 2004. And currently, Total War: Rome Remastered is 80% off on Steam, priced at $5.99 instead of $29.99, until April 30, 2026, according to SteamDB.

Developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega, this remaster, released on April 29, 2021, follows the story of the original game. Indeed, there are 38 different factions at your disposal, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and your goal is to conquer the city of Rome. But be careful, because this mission won’t be easy, and your time is limited.

It must be said that you are not alone, and other factions also want to expand their territory. As a result, you will need to lead your armies into battle in real time, develop trade with your allies, and improve your cities to become more powerful.

Since its release, it has received 76% positive reviews out of more than 13,200 reviews on Steam. On Metacritic, it has a Metascore of 75 despite a user score of 5.9. Indeed, while many players enjoy this game, some dislike its user interface, which is often difficult to understand. There are also save issues that prevent players from playing, and the game has many bugs.
