If you received a Nintendo Switch 2 as a gift or picked one up during Black Friday, then you definitely need to get a microSD Express card, if you don't already have one. While the 256GB storage of the Switch 2 is a lot more than the 32GB/64GB of the Switch/Switch OLED, that storage can quickly get filled up.
Compared to standard microSD cards, microSD Express cards cost more. However, thanks to a deal on Amazon, buyers can purchase a 256GB MicroSD Express card for significantly less. The 256GB variant of the Samsung P9 Express microSD Express has received a 40% discount, albeit for a limited time. This brings its price down to $32.99, from its full price of $54.99.
This is the lowest price the Samsung P9 Express microSD Express Card 256GB has retailed for. Unfortunately, if you need more than an extra 256GB of storage, you will have to pay the full price of $99.99 for the 512GB version.
The Samsung P9 Express microSD Express Card boasts sequential read speeds of up to 800 MB/S. It also features a technology called Dynamic Thermal Guard (DTG) which prevents the microSD card from overheating during use.
In addition, Samsung says the P9 Express microSD Express card has six types of protections including protection against magnets, water, x-ray, extreme temperatures, and drops. It is also offering buyers a 3-year warranty on the microSD card.
