Deal | "The spiritual successor to Diablo 2 that fans have been pining about for years"—ARPG with vivid art style and fully offline functionality gets 80% discount on Steam

Those who are sick of Diablo 4 and Path of Exile's always-online requirements can always look at Last Epoch as a viable alternative. If that doesn't scratch your itch, Grim Dawn might just be the ARPG for you. It isn't nearly as complex as the games mentioned above, but that might be a positive for many who want a laid-back experience without having to check Maxroll for hyper-optimised builds.
Grim Dawn even lets you squad up with up to three members for a multi-player experience, or you can partake in everything it has to offer by yourself. And if the vanilla experience isn't to your liking, there are plenty of mods that do everything from adding extra stash tabs to increasing the amount of time it takes to level up.
In the base game, Grim Dawn offers six classes (Soldier, Demolitionist, Occultist, Nightblade, Arcanist, and Shaman). You can mix and match skills from up to two classes to make for some fascinating combinations. Three new classes (Necromancer, Oathkeeper, and Inquisitor) can be accessed via DLC. Grim Dawn's biggest pet peeve, however, is the fact that it does not have a transparent overlay map. The developers say it's a conscious design choice, and at the time of writing, it cannot be added even via mods.
Grim Dawn can be bought on Steam for just $5. It has been cheaper before (as low as $2.50 according to SteamDB), but it is still good value. If you have a little extra cash, $22 will get you the Definitive Edition, which includes the Ashes of Malmouth Expansion, Forgotten Gods Expansion and Crucible mode. The promotion is valid until July 10, so you have some time to peruse reviews before buying.
