0The Honor 20 series has proven very popular this year, spawning numerous mid-tier variants to go with its 20 and 20 Pro flagships. Now, it appears that there is another version in the works. According to a new leak, it will be called the Youth Edition of this line.
This new report tips the putative new variant to launch with a 6.59-inch FHD+ display, which is somewhat larger compared to those of the rest of its series. This screen has a waterdrop notch, which is not unusual for this series' non-premium models. The Honor 20 Youth Edition may be powered by the Kirin 810 mid-range processor, and have only 1 8GB RAM/256GB internal storage configuration.
Unlike the 20 flagships, it may have only 3 rear cameras. They are rumored to have a 48MP main module, alongside 8 and 2MP supporting lenses. The Youth Edition is slated to be released first in China, and in India therafter, where it may be rebranded as the Honor 20 Lite.
This may be slightly confusing, as there is a phone by that name already on the market: it is also known as the 10i itself in different regions. However, this new phone is thought to be a more cohesive successor to the 10 Lite in the Indian market. The Honor 20 Youth Edition is also thought to launch in Magic Night Black, Blue Water Jade and Icelandic Fantasy colorways. (Honor 20 on sale now at Amazon)
