Sony announced the Xperia 10 III in mid-April, its successor to last year's Xperia 10 II. Initially, the company stated that the device would be available from 'early summer', but it would not give a date beyond that. However, the mid-range smartphone is now available to pre-order in multiple countries and will begin shipping from mid-June.
Specifically, Sony will start fulfilling pre-orders from June 11 in the EU and a day later in the UK. People who pre-order the Xperia 10 III between now and June 12 will receive the WH-CH710N, a pair of Sony headphones that currently retails for US$98 on Amazon (affiliate link).
The WH-CH710N and Xperia 10 III will be delivered simultaneously, but you must return both items to be eligible for a refund. You can read the terms and conditions of the promotion here. As far as we can tell, Sony will only honour the promotion for Xperia 10 III pre-orders made on the eStore Partner website, managed by Digital River.
To recap, the Xperia 10 III has a Snapdragon 690 SoC with 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a 4,500 mAh battery. The device also has a 6.0-inch AMOLED display that runs at 1080p in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Sony has included three cameras too, with a 12 MP primary camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor on the back.
