The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is all set for an official unveiling on August 23 but if word on the street is to go by, the device could land up in shelves as early as the next day, at least in the US.

Rumors about the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8 never cease to come. In what could possibly excite Note fans in the US, Samsung might very well launch its latest phablet iteration as early as August 24 — just a day after its Unpacked event in New York on August 23. Earlier reports have pegged the launch of the Note 8 around September 15.

The information comes courtesy of a Best Buy employee who posted it on Reddit. The employee claims to have confirmed this through both Verizon and Samsung channels. Although, Reddit mods have verified the credentials of the Best Buy employee, it is a safe bet to take this rumor as just that — a rumor. With less than 10 days away for Samsung's big unveil, we are not too far away from knowing Samsung's actual plans after all.

The Galaxy Note 8 boasts flagship specs along with a dual camera setup (a first for Samsung) and a dedicated hardware Bixby button just like the Galaxy S8. Samsung could also likely announce the availability of Bixby in more markets following the Note 8 launch.
