Realme has confirmed that it will launch successors to its 8-series smartphones with "fantastic" processors. Now, a new leak purports to add that these Android devices will do so in the first quarter of 2022. The new line is also now slated to contain some direct upgrades over its predecessor, as well as a new, more premium-sounding top-end model.

Realme has already technically announced its 9-series smartphones, mentioning that the devices in question would indeed launch soon during a recent Indian-market product event. Now, however, 91Mobiles claims to add further detail to this official leak with one of its own.

This new tip, apparently coming courtesy of the well-known leaker Mukul Sharma, purports to outline the different 2022 variants that Realme will unveil during its possible first-quarter launch. Currently, their putative predecessors consist of the 8, 8 5G, 8 Pro, 8i and 8s at this point.

Of these, only the first 3 5G models are in line for straightforward upgrades, according to this new leak. Then again, Sharma has now indicated that Realme will debut an additional, inaugural Pro+ variant for this numerical line. It is not clear what happens to the 8s under this alleged new product scheme at this point.
