The Mi A3 is now receiving the March security update around the world
Xiaomi's Android One Mi A series may have been brought to an abrupt end but the company continues to support its devices as stipulated by the terms of the project. Xiaomi's last Android One phone, the Mi A3, is now receiving yet another software update.
The new update for the Mi A3 arrives with the March security patch, as expected. The update lands with the software designation number "V12.0.7.0 RFQMIXM", indicating that it's an Android 11 build for the global model of the Mi A3. Surprisingly, the update weighs in at 184 MB, which is rather heavy for what should be a generic monthly Android One patch.
The update's changelog promises security and bug fixes, as well as improved device stability and performance optimization. Going by reported feedback, the OTA is safe to install and introduces no extra bugs—unlike with some previous builds. In fact, it appears to fix an issue with Instagram stories. It should be pointed, however, that booting up after installation may take some time. Nothing to worry about.
