The Lenovo Legion Y700 is now orderable globally from AliExpress from US$439.99 ↺
In February, Lenovo introduced the Legion Y700, an 8.8-inch Android tablet that relied on the Snapdragon 870. At launch, Lenovo charged CNY 2,199 (~US$345) for the tablet, an introductory offer that expired on March 10. Subsequently, the Legion Y700 retailed for CNY 2,699 (~US$424) with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, or CNY 2,999 (~US$471) for the memory configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
While Lenovo has not revealed the Legion Y700 globally yet, third parties have started selling them on marketplaces like AliExpress. Currently, the 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage model costs US$439.99, making it marginally more expensive than its Chinese retail price. Supposedly, this price includes free shipping, although there may be import duties and taxes to pay, depending on where you live.
Alternatively, the same seller is offering the 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage variant for US$499.99. Please keep in mind that these units will ship without Google Play Services installed and will be set to Chinese out of the box. Both should be simple enough to change, but Lenovo will not provide any support in doing so. The tablet has also been available to order via Giztop for some time now but is currently listed as out of stock.
