Tesla Cybertruck looks deceptively tiny before utilitarian R1T electric pickup
The first Tesla Cybertruck vs Rivian R1T size comparison has been snapped by accident on the streets of California while both electric pickups were waiting at a red light on the streets around Tesla's HQ there.
While the Cybertruck looks deceptively small, it is a play of lens perspective for an object further away from another, since both EVs are lined up in one lane. Moreover, the Cybertruck seems to be riding on a lower air suspension setting than the Rivian.
It looks as if the edgy Cybertuck design could offer less interior space, yet the boxier R1T doesn't sit more than four adults comfortably either. Besides, the Cybertruck has a much shorter hood and fun-size frunk, with most of its usable length dedicated to the cabin and the truck bed.
During its last quarterly call, Tesla bragged that, to the best of its knowledge, the "Cybertruck will be the first sub-19 ft. truck (fitting into a garage) that has both four doors and 6+ ft. bed," referring to the practical aspects of the Cybertruck's design.
While Ford's CEO went on record calling the Cybertruck "a truck for Silicon Valley people," there might be plenty of people looking exactly for decent truck bed dimensions in a fairly compact overall size, given the Cybertruck's vast preorder list.
