Tecno launches Spark 30 Pro along with a special Transformers edition
Following the launch of the Spark 30, Tecno has announced the Spark 30 Pro, which packs better specs. In addition, the manufacturer has announced a Transformers' edition of both the Spark 30 and Spark 30 Pro.
The Spark 30 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, an upgrade from the 90Hz display of the non-pro model. It has a centered punch hole for a 13MP camera while the back houses a 108MP sensor and a depth sensor.
Powering the Tecno Spark 30 Pro is MediaTek's Helio G100 which made its debut on the Tecno Camon 30S Pro. The chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM and buyers will have the option to choose between 128GB or 256GB of storage.
The Spark 30 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, stereo speakers, Dolby Hi-Res Audio, an FM Radio, and an infrared blaster for controlling electronic appliances. There's a 5,000mAh battery inside with support for 33W fast charging. Tecno ships the phone with a custom version of Android 14 which brings several AI features including a Gemini-powered voice assistant and AI wallpaper.
The Tecno Spark 30 Pro will be available to buy in Obsidian Edge and Arctic Glow. However, it has partnered with Hasbro for a special Transformer's edition which has a paint job reminiscent of Optimus Prime and Transformer's branding. The Tecno Spark 30 announced earlier has also gotten a Transformer's edition but with a Bumblebee paint job.
Tecno isn't the first manufacturer that has announced special editions of its products with tie-ins to Hasbro's Transformers. Last year, Anker announced a collection of Transformers-branded devices including a projector and a power bank.
Tecno is yet to announce how much the Spark 30 Pro will cost as well as details about availability.
