Teclast T60 Plus: Android tablet comes with dual SIM and 2K display at a low price
Teclast's T60 Plus is a new and affordable Android tablet that is unlikely to set any new records in terms of computing power, as it houses a MediaTek SoC with eight cores and Cortex-A75 and Cortex-A55 cores. Internal storage is 128 GB, which is not so large, and the RAM 6 GB, which is sufficient for most everyday applications. On the positive side, the inbuilt cellular modem supports dual SIM operation, but only supports 4G at most, which has implications for data transfer rate and network coverage. WiFi is supported in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. Bluetooth 5.0 is integrated. GPS, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou are all supported.
Weighing 550 grams and measuring 8.2 millimeters thick, the T60 Plus comes with a 12-inch screen with a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The maximum brightness is specified as 330 cd/m², which is definitely not such a high value, so the tablet is only suitable for indoor use at best. An 8,000 mAh battery is on board, and the use of wired headphones is a given thanks to the jack connection. Lastly, the Android 14-based tablet is equipped with a 13 MP main camera and a 8 MP front camera.
The model is currently available for $129.99 as a direct import with free shipping to the US. Customers should keep in mind the long shipping times and the unlikelihood of being able to enforce warranty rights in the event of a claim. Alternatively, the tablet is likely to become available at Amazon (just like the T60) in the near future, so the wait might be worthwhile.
