Unisoc T9100 (T820) vs Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G vs UNISOC T750
Unisoc T9100 (T820)
► remove from comparison
The Unisoc T9100 (formely Unisoc T820) is a mid range SoC for Android based smartphones and tablets. It integrates an octa-core CPU with three clusters. One fast ARM Cortex-A76 clocked at up to 2.7 GHz, three more A76 performance cores clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and a power efficiency cluster of four ARM-Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2.1 GHz. The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4/4X with up to 2133 MHz (2x 16 Bit). The integrated ISP supports two main cameras and two subsidiary cameras (up to 108 MPix). The integrated graphics card is an ARM Mali-G57 MC4 (4 cores) at up to 850 MHz. Unisoc also specifies that the T9100 offers hardware AI acceleration with up to 8.0 TOPS peak performance of the NPU.
The chip is manufactured on the modern 6nm EUV process.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G
► remove from comparison
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform is a high-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2020 and manufactured in 5 nm at Samsung. Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a ARM Cortex-X1 architecture clocked at up to 2.84 GHz. Three more performance cores are based on the A78 but clock up to 2.42 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 6e modem, a Hexagon 780 DSP (up to 26 TOPS of AI performance) and a Spectra 580 ISP. The integrated memory controller now supports faster LPDDR5 memory with up to 3,200 MHz. 5G is now included in the chip with the Snapdragon X60 modem.
The performance of the processor cores should be around 15% better than the old Snapdragon 865+. The integrated Adreon 660 GPU should make a bigger jump by 35% (most likely compared to the SD 865).
UNISOC T750
► remove from comparison
The Unisoc T750 (Tanggula, former Spreadtrum) is a mid range SoC for Android based smartphones and tablets. It integrates an octa-core CPU with two clusters. Two fast ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz and six small ARM-Cortex-A55 cores at again up to 1.8 GHz for efficiency. The faster T760 SoC offers two more A76 cores, a faster GPU and a faster memory controller.
The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4X with up to 1866 MHz. The integrated ISP supports two main cameras (up to 64 MPix). The integrated graphics card is an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 (2 cores) at up to 680 MHz. The integrated modem supports Wi-Fi 5 WLAN, 5G (TDD+FDD CA Sub-6GHz), and Cat15DL / Cat18 UL LTE.
The chip is manufactured in the modern 6nm process.
