Law enforcement has arrested Adam Lansky, a suspect in a January attack on a Tesla store in Salem, Oregon. The 41-year-old individual was apprehended for lobbing Molotov cocktails or petrol bombs at the dealership, damaging seven cars and destroying one. Total losses were about $500,000.
The arson was captured on camera, showing the accused aiming a rock at the facility's window. An eye-witness reported the suspect aiming a rifle at them. A vehicle in the footage captured by a police patrol camera was traced to Lansky's residence. Other evidence linking the suspect to the crime included fingerprints.
Lansky was tied to another incident at the store in February, where he appeared to have fired bullets into the building and a vehicle.
Lansky has appeared in federal court on charges of illegally possessing an unregistered destructive device. He will be detained as he awaits further court dates. The case is under active investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Salem Police Department.
Another suspect in multiple attacks at a Colorado Tesla store was arrested last week.
