The carefully crafted maps and intense, unsettling sound design further reinforce the game’s gritty atmosphere, delivering a sense of war that few other games capture so convincingly.
The main criticism aimed at Rising Storm 2 revolves around its steep learning curve. The game offers little in the way of tutorials or guidance, and with no single-player mode to ease players in, newcomers are thrown straight into the deep end of competitive multiplayer.
