SteelSeries has launched the Apex M750 gaming keyboard with mechanical switches. The precision gaming device is made from an aluminum frame and features dynamic lighting as well as custom in-game notifications designed to appeal to eSports gamers.

SteelSeries has taken the wraps off the Apex M750 mechanical gaming keyboard with LED backlighting. Taking its place as the premium model in the company’s lineup, the Apex M705 is targeted at eSports gamers who demand high-precision and performance from every component in their rig. It is made from high-grade 5000 series aluminum, features dynamic RGB LED backlighting along with a custom in-game notification system.

The Apex M750 uses SteelSeries’ QX2 linear mechanical switches, which are tested to last over 50 million keypresses. The QX2 system has an actuation point of 2 mm and a total travel of 4 mm, while force is measured at 45cN. The LED backlighting that underpins the keys is individually controllable per-key, while also supporting whole keyboard patterns and reactive typing effects, including Ripple and Runout.

The SteelSeries Apex M750 is compatible with both Windows (7 or newer) and Mac OS X (10.8 or newer) and ships with SteelSeries Engine 3.11+ software for optimal customizability. It weighs 2.2 pounds and incorporates a USB cable 6.5 feet in length. It is available now and is priced at US$150.
