Steam has expanded its free game lineup once again, and many of these newly released freebies were spotted right before January 2026 ended. Many of them look good in the shared screenshots and description, but not all can be considered well-rated. Here are some that have received at least an overall 70% positive player rating:
- LAVALAMP - a first-person walking simulator that offers a psychedelic 3D experience. It launched on January 10 and currently sports a 95% positive rating from 255 reviews.
- Run Coffee Run - also released on January 10, this free game is a fast-paced FPS platformer with a rather interesting pixelated visual choice. With around 40 reviews, it currently holds the "Positive" overall player rating.
- Brother Hai's Pho Restaurant - a story-driven psychological horror game with PS1-styled visuals. This free game has over 70 reviews, with 93% of them being positive.
- Aye Leon - a 2D platformer with short playthrough and colorful visuals. It currently has over 12 reviews with the overall rating being "Positive."
- Space Station: Beyond - an online PvP with a top-down perspective and survival elements. This free game became available on January 10, and it has over 53 reviews, among which 84% are positive.
- KUMASAMA - described as a horror adventure game with a short playtime. This new freebie currently has over 60 reviews, with the overall rating being 81% positive.
- Project KILLDANCE - a Noir tactical action with an instant-death combat system and pixelated visuals. The free game was released on January 15, with 97% of them being positive.
- Laugh Track - released on January 13, this is a visual novel from the same creators of The Shadow Over Cyberspace, Penny Larceny, and Arcade Spirits. With around 10 reviews, this free game with proper controller (Razer Raiju V3 Pro curr. $199.99 on Amazon) support has a 91% positive review.
- A Song Of Sunlight - an RPG with a sci-fi setting and 2D gameplay. It currently sports 40 reviews, with the overall rating being "Positive."
- Party Party Anxiety! - a dating card game with visual novel elements. Released on January 15, it currently has 25 reviews and an overall "Positive" player rating.
