1. Borderlands 3 - up to 75% off
The third installment of the Borderlands franchise was received largely positively when it launched, mostly because it's more Borderlands. Gearbox didn't try to shake things up too much, instead taking a formula that worked and building on it to bring more guns, more zany characters, and more silly one-liners. Sure, Borderlands 3 isn't for everyone, but if you're the type that enjoys a good old looter-shooter with a healthy helping of well-crafted RPG progression and FPS mechanics, it's certainly a good time.
Up to four players can team up and choose between four diverse classes — which can be further customised and tuned to suit various gameplay styles — and explore the open world to find a series of vaults and help keep Sanctuary alive. Borderlands 3 can be enjoyed alone, but it's best when playing with friends, since the enemy difficulty and loot rarity scale depending on party size.
Borderlands 3 has been free on the Epic Games store before, but if you didn't manage to grab it then or during any of the other Steam sales, now is a good time to act, since it's on sale at a 75% discount during the Steam Autumn Sale.
2. Monster Hunter Rise - discounted by 50%
If you've ever heard of the Monster Hunter franchise, you'll know that it's a unique series somewhere between looter-shooter, hack-and-slasher, and adventure-survival, even though Capcom itself ranks it as an action-RPG. Released in 2021, but making it onto Steam for PC in January 2022, Monster Hunter Rise builds on the international success of Monster Hunter World (which is also on sale during the Steam Autumn Sale). Capcom expanded on the previous installment in the franchise by adding much-needed quality-of-life features, a host of new monsters, and cute fluffy companions that follow players around.
Up to four players can team up on multiplayer hunting expeditions that become increasingly more difficult the more players there are in the party. Monster Hunter Rise is currently available at a discount of 50% for US$19.99 until November 29.

3. It Takes Two - 60% discount
If platformers or puzzle games are more your speed, or you want something you can enjoy with your other half, It Takes Two will almost certainly be a home run. It Takes Two puts players in the shoes of May and Cody — a couple whose marriage is falling to pieces — after they are turned into tiny doll versions of themselves. To return to normal, players must use their smarts and the strengths of the characters to solve a variety of puzzles.
It Takes Two, being a co-op-focussed game, features local co-op and a special download on Steam that allows you to bring along a "player two" without buying a second copy of the game, regardless of where that "player two" might be located. It Takes Two is available at a 60% discount, for US$15.99, during the Steam Autumn Sale until November 29.
