Keychron has just announced its annual Holiday Sale event, offering discounts on a number of its solid wireless mechanical keyboards, and making some of the most unique pre-built mechanical and magnetic keyboards on the market significantly more affordable. The Keychron Holiday Deal has discounted many of its keyboards by up to 25%, with the discount extending to 30% for purchases above $300, and a very nice deal offering free shipping on purchases over $69.
Along with the Keychron deals, which include some of the best wireless keyboards we've reviewed, Keychron's already-affordable, highly customisable gaming mice are also on sale during the Holiday Sale. All holiday deals are available until January 1, and the free shipping deal is currently only available to US buyers.
Keychron K4 HE — Affordable, sleek HE gaming keyboard
The Keychron K4 HE is one of the best wireless Hall effect gaming keyboards we've reviewed to date, offering a suite of customisation options and Hall effect features, like adjustable actuation distance, Rapid Trigger, SOCD, and analogue input, all from a browser interface, which means there's no need to install anything on your gaming PC to customise your keyboard.
The K4 HE's design and build quality are also stand-out features, thanks to the sleek rosewood accents and the unique and comfortable double-shot OSA-profile keycaps. In our in-depth review of the K4 HE, we also praised it for its long battery life, which comfortably reached 100 hours on a single charge, despite the bright RGB backlighting and 1,000 Hz polling rate. It is also notably one of the few Hall effect keyboards that offers both wireless capability and a 96% layout, meaning it strikes a neat balance between gaming and productivity features.
As part of the sale, the Keychron K4 HE Special Edition wireless gaming keyboard is discounted to $115.99, while the more traditional K4 HE Standard Version, which has shine-through PBT keycaps, costs just $107.99. The K2 HE, which is similar in construction but with a smaller 75% layout, comes in $4 cheaper, at $111.99 and $103.99, respectively.
Keychron K15 Max — Discounted ergonomic wireless low-profile keyboard
One of the more interesting keyboards Keychron has on offer is the K15 Max, even if it doesn't quite have the same enthusiast-grade auditory feedback as many of Keychron's other keyboards. Although it doesn't offer the HE gaming chops of the K4 HE, the ergonomic wireless low-profile mechanical keyboard offers an on-the-go option for those looking for a slightly more comfortable, highly customisable keyboard that doesn't compromise on quality. During the Keychron Holiday Sale, the K15 Max is on sale for just $74.99, compared to the regular selling price of $99.99.
When we reviewed the K15 Max, we found that the sculpted low-profile keycaps and the ergonomic Alice layout proved exceptionally comfortable, while the slim design made it a great portable mechanical keyboard for productivity users, and the customisable knob proved to be very useful for controlling whatever it was connected to.
The K15 Max features both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connectivity options, which means it is compatible with a range of devices, and the low-latency offered by the 1,000 Hz connection also makes it adequate for gaming. It is also hot-swap compatible with any Gateron Low-Profile 2.0 Mechanical Switches, which can be found in a variety of switch types, including silent and sharp, heavy tactile options, on sites like Amazon for $13.80 for 35 switches.
Aside from the aforementioned models, Keychron has discounted a whole lot of other wireless mechanical keyboards, wired mechanical keyboards, and both wired and wireless magnetic keyboards, all of which are worth checking out. If you're looking for a bargain, the affordable mechanical gaming keyboards from Keychron's sub-brand, Lemokey, are worth a gander, with some aluminium models dipping below $100 during the Holiday Sale. There are also weird keyboards, like the Keychron Q11 split ergonomic keyboard and the Q15 Max, which is a bizarre ortholinear keyboard with two programmable knobs — we have a review of that in the works, but so far, it's been an eye-opening experience, especially thanks to those dual knobs.
