The refreshed Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x sports the Snapdragon X2 Elite lineup of ARM SoCs, with the highest-end SKU featuring a whopping 18 cores. Paired with a premium build and a beautiful OLED display, the Slim 7x is set to hit the scene in the coming months.

As per tradition, Lenovo has announced a plethora of updates to almost its entire lineup of products. Among the many new and updated laptops, we also happen to have one that is powered by ARM processors, dubbed the Yoga Slim 7x (11th gen).

Snapdragon X2 Elite: Bringing the heart to Apple Silicon once again

Following in the footsteps of its predecessor, the latest-gen Yoga Slim 7x will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite family of high-performance ARM SoCs. Compared to its forefather, the X2 Elite promises major performance improvements. For instance, the highest-end variant, the X2E-96-100 will boast a whopping 18 cores, up from the 12 cores of the X1 Elite. Paired with generational IPC improvements, this should allow for a substantial leap in performance.

Of course, software compatibility will remain a crucial factor in determining how successful the platform becomes. That said, there is no doubt that folks with workflows that are natively supported on ARM on Windows will have a great time using their machines, as was the case with the previous generation.

The 14-inch Yoga Slim 7x will also sport a beautiful 2880 x 1800 OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. According to Lenovo, the panel will boast a peak brightness of 1,100 nits, along with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and Delta E of less than 1, making it admirably color accurate for creative workflows.

The 70 Wh battery, paired with the X2 Elite's efficiency, allows the Yoga Slim 7x to claim an amazing 29 hours of usage away from the wall. The laptop will also feature up to 32 GB of soldered LPDDR5X-9600 memory and up to 2 TB of flash storage (2 TB T705 curr. $240 on Amazon).

More details, pricing, and availability

At just 1.39 cm thin at its thinnest point, the 14-inch Yoga Slim 7x tips the scales at just under 2.6 pounds or 1.13 kgs, making the system quite easy to haul around. The I/O on offer includes triple USB4 ports, with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 taking care of wireless networking requirements. The laptop also features a 9 MP front camera, four-speaker setup, and a 108 cm² trackpad.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x will start at a price of $949.99, and availability is expected sometime in the next quarter.
