LG has announced plans to unveil its vision for an "AI home" within mobility spaces at CES 2025, taking place from January 7 to 10 in Las Vegas. These futuristic designs reimagine vehicles as ultra-modern mobile homes. At the heart of this innovation is the new Mobility Experience (MX) platform, showcasing how vehicle interiors could evolve beyond traditional transportation. With modular designs and cutting-edge AI solutions, LG aims to transform vehicles into customizable living spaces.
This vision is rooted in the concept of "space-as-an-experience," where vehicle interiors adapt to different needs through advanced technology and personalization. Depending on the user’s preferences, the cabin can serve as a media lounge, work studio or relaxation area. The concept is built on the following core features:
- Modular design: Customizable devices allow flexible use of interior space, adapting seamlessly to different needs.
- AI integration: Powered by LG ThinQ ON, the system optimizes lighting, temperature and other settings while managing schedules and providing services like food delivery or hotel reservations.
- Subscription model: Users can book and personalize services on demand, tailoring the experience to their preferences.
The platform is designed primarily for commuters and digital nomads, aiming to blur the line between mobility and living by turning vehicles into extensions of the smart home. However, concerns about data security and energy consumption remain unaddressed. Details about the market launch are also yet to be disclosed, though further information may be revealed during CES.
