The Last Ninja Collection + Bonus Games has finally landed on Steam, after being delayed from its original November release. Fans of The Last Ninja can now play accurate and faithful recreations of the original lineup of games from the Commodore 64, Amiga, and ZX Spectrum. It’s currently available on Steam for 29.99.
This collection packs together seven iconic titles for the very first time. It features the complete Last Ninja Trilogy, including the Commodore 64, Amiga, and ZX Spectrum versions.
Furthermore, the collection includes a remixed Ninja Edition featuring overhauled graphics and sound design, along with additional games such as International Karate for the Spectrum and the Commodore 64, the award-winning International Karate+ for the C64, Spectrum, and Amiga, and Bangkok Knights for the Commodore 64 and Amiga.
The founder and CEO of System 3, Mark Cale, was happy about the launch, stating:
I am immensely proud that we can bring The Last Ninja Collection + Bonus Games to Steam today, played exactly as they were supposed to on the original machines, and as a tribute to all the fans who have the series over the years.
He further continued:
Having originally designed and published these games, it has always mattered to me that their legacy is protected. The Last Ninja became one of the defining releases of the 8-bit and 16-bit era and went on to become the industry’s largest-selling C64 game series, selling over 23 million copies worldwide.
The Steam version of The Last Ninja Collection + Bonus Games also features controller support, split-screen multiplayer, and even keyboard-only play. All you need is a 4th Gen Intel CPU and a single stick of 1GB RAM to get it up and running.
But that’s far from the end of the story. A physical collector’s edition is coming soon for pre-order, available only through System 3’s website. It includes a PC version on DVD that can also be downloaded digitally via a Steam code. Full physical releases for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. However, the Xbox version will be digital only.
