Samsung is busy to bring Lollipop to more of its Android-powered devices and will skip the release of any Android 5.1 firmware update, claim inside reports that have not been officially confirmed yet.

Unlike most competitors, it looks like Samsung has no plans to release Android 5.1 firmware updates for its devices and will probably jump straight to Android 5.2 or another future update. Since Google did not release version 5.2 of its mobile operating system yet, that may take some time.

After a rumor concerning Android 5.1 being prepared for the Galaxy Note 4 phablet became public on another website, SamMobile's inside sources denied it. Even more, these sources also mentioned that "Samsung is not working on Android 5.1 for any of its devices at the moment, let alone the Galaxy Note 4." This means Samsung's latest phablet will remain in the Android 5.0.x crowd for the time being.

SamMobile also reports that next family of Samsung devices to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update is the Galaxy A lineup, but its time of arrival is unknown. We will get back to Samsung's Lollipop updates as soon as we get official info on this matter, so stay tuned.
